A complete gaming room refurbishment, built in two working weeks. The room closed at 4am on a Monday and was trading again by 10am on the Friday of the second week.
01The brief
Make the gaming room brighter and more open while keeping a premium feel. Ten working days was the absolute maximum the room could be offline.
02What we built
A full strip out including the existing bar, then new carpet, new gaming bases, screens and joinery, a new Corian bar top, a new tiled bar front, feature pendant lighting and a new communications rack. The design moved away from the traditional dark gaming room to a light, bright, high end look.
03How we did it
Planning and ordering were done well before the room closed. Trades were sequenced in half hour blocks so each one started and finished on time, and no trade was ever waiting.
04Details people miss
The solid timber and brass wine storage cabinet, and the curved joinery screens.
05The result
Delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.
