Communify - Kippa Ring Community Mental Health Clinic
Caughley & Co. Construction were engaged by long-term client Communify to deliver the fit-out of a new, fully Medicare-funded community mental health clinic for the local Kippa Ring community.
Completed in October 2025 over a 10-week construction program, the refurbishment transformed a cold shell tenancy into a calm, welcoming and highly functional clinical environment. The brief focused on creating inclusive, safe and tranquil spaces where clients could access counselling and community support without the stress of a clinical or institutional setting.
The front-of-house includes a reception and waiting area, multiple consulting rooms, a GP room, group room and community kitchenette, while the back-of-house provides staff workspaces, breakout areas and amenities. The project was delivered as a full design and construct of all building services, including new electrical, mechanical, communications and hydraulic systems throughout.
One of the key challenges was delivering the fit-out while the building owner undertook a full roof replacement above the tenancy. Through careful staging, trade coordination and ongoing site management, the team maintained a safe and uninterrupted workflow.
This project reflects Caughley & Co’s experience delivering purpose-driven, community-focused environments and our ongoing partnership with Communify to support accessible mental health services across Queensland.c
